Deutscher Family Crashed Car Display

The relatives of the Deutscher family donated their crashed car to the Safe Communities Coalition of the Red River Valley for educational purposes. The car is the centerpiece of a traveling display made possible by a donation from AAA clubs in North Dakota and Minnesota. The display is available for Law Enforcement agencies in North Dakota and West Central Minnesota to give viewers an opportunity to see first-hand the tragic result of drunken driving.

A message from the family

On July 6, 2012 the Deutscher Family packed their vehicle for a trip to a family reunion in Bismarck, ND. It was a warm summer evening and the roads were perfectly clear. Allison and Aaron were a young couple who had just begun their family a year earlier with the birth of their blue-eyed daughter Brielle. Allison was now 3 1/2 months pregnant with their second child. This trip was a chance for them to share their excitement with family, who eagerly awaited them at their destination. But Aaron, Allison and Brielle would never arrive at their destination. In a matter of seconds, the young Deutscher Family was gone.

Killed by a drunk driver.
